Came home today to find a small white ball and some excess slime coat on my rays. I did a prazi treatment last week because my rays slowed down on eating. They eat prawn, smelt, pellets

Nitrate 10
Nitrite 0
Ammonia 0
Ph 6.5
Water change weekly at 50% unless I notice nitrates rising.

Nothing to worry about, the white blob will drop off within the next few days, its nothing more than a damaged denticle, basically dead tissue which no longer has a blood supply, such tissue develops fungus and becomes dislodged before being shed, no need to treat, it won't spread.
The other odd patch is nothing either, this too will disappear, nothing more than a rub or a rasp from something, make sure you don't have any Plecs sucking on the ray at night.

The eyes are bright, all in all the ray looks healthy to me.

Beautiful ray by the way.

Thanks aquaman45 I just worry about them when something comes up. My pup also has a white spot and all 3 rays haven't been eating as much as usual. One of my rays has gotten significantly skinnier as well. Maybe I'll post some more photos

No problem.

The fact they have slowed down eating would suggest maybe a slight internal parasite infestation, obviously that needed addressing as you have done, hit it again with the same dose again in 3 weeks time from the first dose. If your temp is a little low then crank it up a bit, say 28 deg C, this will stimulate the appetite whilst giving the immune system a quick boost which will speed up recovery.

I don't think the two problems you are experiencing are connected though any form of bullying can suppress a rays appetite.

Keep us updated.

So my motoro is looking awful. Don't think she's going to pull through. Any thoughts? I'm going to prazi again tonight. Water is testing all good. 0's and about 15 nitrate. 6.4 ph
