Exodon feeding question

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Make sure you do some proper water changes on that. I wish i could get my hands on exodons, every shop i have been to doesnt even have them on order forms
If you really want Exodon then search for a good reputation LFS and talk to them. They would happy to get some for you with some deposit, that's how I got my Exodon from my LFS.
Most LFS don't stock up Exodon because they lose money cause most likely they lose a whole batch if no one buy them in a week.

They're bloody expensive. At least here in Canada. Close to $15 per fish. And I would want at least 10 if I were ever to go that route.

lose a whole batch in a week? They are evil little critters but not that bad.
Yep, I'm a close friend to a LFS owner, he hate to keep Exodon and 1 time a guy came and asked him to order 50 Exodon and put some money for safe deposit. When the shipment arrived there about 10 fish already dead cause of stressed (retailer gave a lot more to cover the dead one), the buyer guy never return his phone call and a week later the batch of Exodon down to 5 left out of 60+. We already know all LFS way over stock their live stock in a small tank with poor water condition.

I ordered 150 Exodon for $3 bucks each :P (size 1.5~2 inches). When they shipment came the LFS called me and I went to pick them up right away, I do have some died during the first week. I'll try to locate my old hard drive and re-upload my Exodon tank setup but don't hold my words for that :P

All the best lfs here dont have them. Got an african knife instead and i love the guy

That's how much my Lfs is charging @ 1.5"
It's crazy. I can't justify dropping $150 or more on a smallish school of them. Especially if they're gonna pick each other off once in awhile.

In general what is the recommended min school size and tank size?

Tank, 50 gals they like their space but i think the bigger the better as you need heavy filtration and space for a shoal. as for how many: AS MANY AS YOU CAN GET

also planting up will help the abused fish hide away
