Exodon Paradoxus "Bucktooth Tetra"

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
These fish are very cool. I had a group of 8 (all they had at the LFS) in my 125 gallon tank and they seemed to do fine but as bitteraspects said I did small feedings every day to keep them from getting too hungry. They added a very cool aspect to the tank and went into a feeding frenzy whenever food entered the water. Even if it was crickets that were a little too big for their mouths! They didnt care, they just went after it LOL. I had to get rid of mine though as their tank mates all started getting too big. They did pick at the oscars some which may have may have helped take some of the aggression away from the other exodons. Very cool fish though! I would have kept mine if I didn't have more money tied up in the other fish at the time.

I am liking all of the input guys, thanks for all the advice! I'm hoping other members who are also considering the keeping of this species find this thread useful in some way.
