from what iv heard of exos in groupes of less than 10 they will all kill each other k :)

the smallest successful goup i have seen was 6. it started as a group of 8, and ended up with 6 after the weak ones died or were killed off. however, i would not suggest less then 10.

its a rule generally used when dealing with larger fish and larger tanks. but can be applied to smaller applications. also, it is commonly misunderstood as 1" per gallon, when in fact it is 1" squared /gal.

this "rule" is more of a newbie guideline for people who dont have a full understanding of things like filtration, water change, water parameters, nitrogen cycle, ect. running off a concept of minimum stocking for minimum maintenance, its used to basically "keep things simple", but is by no means a definitive law of fish keeping.

exacto........

i agree that less than ten exos should be kept together........ otherwise (like stated before) some will get picked off
