lets simply (and CALMLY) speculate on what ive claimed about my fish...
Not much can go with Exodons - False. however. out of the fish i put them with thus far, there has been at least one fatality.
Exodons can (and will) kill other fish - True. ample sources.
Crayfish will kill Exodons at night - True. my cray had one in its pincer. most mid-dwelling diurnal fish rest subconsciously on the bottom at night where any bottom dweller may reach them.
it is not good to feed steak to Exos - True. it complicates the water and in nature, they dont eat "steak".
They can eat crickets - True. i fed them crickets before...
a 200gph filter is plenty turnover for a 10gallon tank housing 12 exodons in it - most MFK members will agree with me.
plenty of members here post articles they find on the web. it can't hurt to see what they found on their study of the fish.
And i know they sell exodons at Petsmart here. but it simply depends on what the livestock management at the chains near you decide to put in there. any lfs or nfs can sell any legal species of fish they choose. but the key word here is choose. for whatever business reason or whatever other reason they do or dont sell the fish.
But heres what i did to find mine, i just looked up every lfs i could find in the yellow pages and called them asking for bucktooth tetra or Exodon.
Or you could order them online from some place like t d f fish. com hybridtheory showed me that place. just pick up however many exos you want and stock up on food and accessories if u need to meet that 200 minimum order. i heard you don't have to though and that they just put that sign there to keep people from complaining about the $6 shipping charges outweighing the cost of the single fish they buy.
did u buy out the store you bought the other ones from?
