I really like servals!!Just did some research. Are they fine around smaller children also?

They can be but I wouldn't recommend it seeing as how they can easily hurt a child being as big as they are. It's like saying a mastiff is good with young children, they can be but can also inadvertently hurt them due to their size. Not to mention depending on where you live you may not be able to get a permit. For instance in arizona you can get a private permit for breeding or educational purposes. It's near impossible to get one as a pet only.

Is it true that the farther back the cats are,f1 to f4 the less bold their spot and striping is?

Savannah are serval /domestic hybrid
Bangle are asian leopard cat\domestic hybrid
They are not the same bred completely different.
Make sure your check legality they have to be papered f6 or more to be legal in Denver I've read places require then to be f10 or greater also.
They two breeds have been bred together. we had a breeder here that had both and crosses between them until he was cited for having 23 wild exotic cats.
They were indeed beautiful friendly animals. It's a shame they are so regulated I don't like cats at all my new wife had two bangles when we met. I have to admit they are very cool and not very cat like more like a dog all be it a dumb :Done which may be why I like them

Sometimes, it all depend on each cats genes but basically yes. The stronger to the source the more "wild" it will look/act but I've also seen albino Savannah's at f2 and 3 with extremely faint spots.

I got a 10-11 month old Maine coon pure bread who's nuts! I wanted a savanah but came across this piece of meat and he was just way to cute to pass up although he was $800. He's only a little bigger than normal at 13lbs for his age but he ceatches birds and squirls weekly tho he's a champ! He loves car rides and walks he's practically a dog.

But what's the weight of your cats? I want a comparison they look beautiful btw!

Are you sure on those numbers? Im pretty sure that f5 and on they are recognised as thier own breeds.

F5? F10? That is some severe inbreeding...

The F stands for filial generation meaning it is the sequence of generations following the hybridization of a Serval crossed with a domestic cat. The number represents how many generations away from the Serval it is.
