Research is NOT experience

Experience can/would be considered research :D

I believe experience is the next step in research to fully gauge fact :)

My research is limited to all of your advice. Almost all of the advice I have gotten has been good. I just wish all of you wouldn't fight so much. :)

I have that same dream.

I have the very first copy of reptiles magazine as well as every issue since and while some of the stuff is indeed outdated I would say that at least 90% still holds true. So I still use these as a reference guide when I need info.

IMO it would be hard for ME to gain experience with an animal if I never had the facts on the basics BEFORE I attained the animal.

Anyways for me experience STARTS with research so one is just as important than the other.

Just caught this, isnt this the kind of thing that leads to locked threads ans people getting banned?? Or is name calling now allowed on MFK??

Research is vital when it come to keep reptiles that haven't been kept in captivity.

Me and my friend might get some African Vine Snakes in, but the problem is that very few hobbyists are willing to share their husbandry; and there is no real literatures published on them. So, what we are going to do is read up on the natural history and see if we can get them on mice instead of lizards...

Or... we going to have to start breeding some Anolis.
