Never trust the temperature settings on heaters. Use a thermometer to confirm, preferably the digital ones. I recently got a new heater and tank and set it at 79 without a thermometer. I was wondering why the temperature felt so hot so I got a Marina digital thermometer and the temperature read 88 degrees! I had to set it at the lowest setting 67 to get it to drop to 79. I got another heater (different brand) with a second new tank and another Marina digital thermometer and had to set the heater to 78 to get it to 81 degrees. So never trust the numbers on a heater.

Yeh, I know that. I didn't have one for a few days, but now I have a new thermometer on. Like I said in a previous post on this thread, I don't trust heater settings. No way, no how.

Yeh I know, I was hoping to get another one from my Petland, but when I went to see the pbass, it looked like it was starting to get ick. In no way, am I going to introduce that to my tank.

So fortunately, I may email Jeff Rapps to get me so piquiti. Will one of those be able to live with my other two peacocks. I'm not surew what I have.

The best descriptions:

The bigger pbass is pretty much a dull green. It has three vertical (up and down) stripes on its body, These stripes usually fade and get draker depending on mood.

The smaller pbass is pretty much the same as the first. But it has gold spangling on its body.

not sure....
could be alot of things from the descriptions i think.
most likely mono or ocell.
you cant get pics?
im not sure even rapps can get piquiti right now.:(
and yea, piquiti can be kept with other bass.
if your tank is at high temps,i dont think the ich will affect any of your fish.

I actually think they are monos, just not 100% sure.

Unfortunately, Rapps doesn't have piquiti. All he has are pinima, tems and monos. So I'm going for one pinima and one temp. :headbang2 I was hoping that he would have cheaper dats, though.

Yeah heaters. Man I hate them. I got an old fashioned one too. Not one of the digitals. Same thing with the thermometer; old fashioned, one of those that hang on the glass.

Nope, can't trust it at all. Today I ordered one tem, one pin and a dovii from Rapps. Can't wait to get them.
