Eye problem...

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
It depends. If the fish has the will to resist it and continue thriving despite it, then it's not fatal otherwise it can be part of the burden of most sick hosts thus killing them quicker than the ones with the strong will to survive.

Thanks for all the help Lupin....

She seems quite strong, so hopefully this will pass... I'll go to the LFS today and see if I can find what you mentioned.

I just hope I make it there in time...

When you are dealing with bacterial infections, clean water itself will not suffice anymore. You need antibiotics for that.

Ok then.... was just wondering.

Thanks...I'll head to the LFS after work and see what they have.

Will this affect my filtration by any chance? Currently running both an internal filter and an external canister

oh... and sorry for all the questions! i've just never had to deal with meds before...

Antibiotics can affect your nitrogen cycle, yes. You might want to make sure you have backup filter media seedings in case your antibiotics manage to disrupt the nitrogen cycle successfully. Monitor ammonia and nitrite. Both tend to be extremely dangerous especially when your pH is on the alkaline side.

Hun, it doesn't hurt to ask plenty of questions. I myself cannot cover every possible detail needed so your questions lend me a better eye on some points I could easily miss.:)

Thank you for your support and patience!

I have two extra canister filters running my 120, so I think worse case I can take some of the media out from there. I have a white flossy material at the top shelf of the filter so I can easily switch it to the other one if needed.
