No one is questioning if you can get them across. Maybe dogofwar wants some wild dempsey's himself? Or maybe other cichlids from the same area? Would kind of need to know whose collecting to ask them aye?

Buy from reputable sources and be glad you even have access to them.

who don conkel , your funny man, and everyone on this site didnt go collecting for all there fish, so you mean to tell me no one is credible but your circle of salesman and fish trappers , money talks so i dont have to get dirtyu and trap wild fish but can actually have them shipped to my door and it still be as wild as yours, when i go to other countries its to put my feet up and relax homie, show my family a good time, not to catch fish for your sake to say they are wild for sure , scratch that .......IM JUST SAYING.......cchhcc;3642200; said:......Or as many sellers seem to be doing, just obtain them from a particular Florida breeder/collector who says they are wild because he collected them 15 years ago and they've been breeding in his ponds ever since. Wild in Florida ponds doesn't equate to the sort of "wild" I'm looking for (with or without a collection locale attached to the great, great, great grandparents)!
That's what's great about some of these collecting trips that have taken place in the last few years. Lots of photos, and lots of documentation of the collecting effort is a big plus.
It would seem appropriate that the burden of proof is on the seller rather than the buyer...... Just saying....

PEOPLE COLLECT FISH ALL OVER MEXICO IF YOU HVE MONEY YOU CAN BRING THE FISH BACK LISTEN TO JOEFATFISH MAN i figured you could understand what im saying but even other guys like joe back me up and you still talk about this mexico fish laws and cartels, thats the least of there worries buddydarth pike;3642312; said:Another good point cchhcc, though I wasn't really suggesting that the collecting trip was anything but legit. It's just that the area where these would have been collected hasn't been in decades becuase of the drug plantations in the area. There are a lot of cool cichlids besides the wild jd's that people would be interested in ... hence having to know who is collecting to ask what's available, ect ect.
Hmmm, I wonder if the drug cartels are collecting cichlids as a legit front for money laundering??![]()
so what there from a credible source period, nowadays thats what you have to go with is salesman credibility, if you didnt collect them yourself and thats just what it is, and these are wild dempsey's, I dont need a special name or a famous name in the hobby to accuire wild fish homie, its basicly (money+the know how + networking= F0) use that formula and i garuntee you wont need a fanclub to approve your wild fish brodarth pike;3641223; said:Who has them isn't who collected them, even according to you.![]()
