F1 Kelberi Bahia update after 13 months

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
these are very nice and you did a great job raising them. Remember I was stressing the point that the first batch were from this original pair that made posters? Well, I brought some in, and I think Will got some too I think. The ones are that are not all Bahia kelberi, since he stopped breeding that pair. There were some shipped to Singapore and Hong Kong. In China, there are a lot of hybrids, mixed with mono and orinio floating around, and the original owner is actually microchip tagging them with certificates like arowanas. I was just there....saw with my own eyes.

the main visual difference is that the ones from Bahia have a lot of spots on the body, black and gold, also the tail and fin spangles are elongated, oval spots instead of fine spots.

the reason I'm saying that is there are other local wholesalers importing "gold peacock bass" which are suppose to be kelberi, and they're about $75.00 each wholesale, but not the bahia stock that I got.

Very Very nice! Great job raising them!

I know. I'm just messing with you.
I don't know their sexes. Appears the two bigger ones are paired up but I'm hoping they don't spawn because I don't have space or time. It's cool the way they are.
if they spawn u can just mail the fry to me :grinno:

Me too!!!

Just because my big brut looks like Arnold doesn't mean he'll grope and spawn with every female. Oh wait, maybe he will:ROFL:
