F1 Umbee and WC Beani

I just acquired an awesome looking Umbee (thanks Sean!). It was sold to me as a Male and fits a lot of the characteristics of a male...fin trailers, extremely outgoing, and genital area looks to have the "V" shape rather than the circle from venting. However, its that I noticed darkness/black on the first 1/2 of his dorsal (check 3rd pic) which makes me think he's a she Also, his head shape and body shape looks similar to some females I see across the threads. I want to believe he's a male...what do you guys think? He/she is currently around 5-6" right now.

I thought I'd also post pics of my WC male Beani as well Sorry for the quality of the pics...I'm not at GMFISHNUT, MOJO, or Chaitika status yet

Looks like a male to me it can be a bit tricky when they are under 6" Sweet u got beani to!

looks like a female umbee due to black on the dorsal, but I could be wrong. Nice Beani too!

Yea that's what throws me off...You can even tell on the 1st/2nd pic that its shaded darker for the first half of the dorsal.

That Umbriferum is most definately a male.

Love the Beani as well. Looks different from the strain Jeff Rapps is carrying. I like your strain better, it has a stronger honey comb pattern.
