Thank you... i love old fiesty german grandpas... i had one too... :D

does not suprise me, honey alone is a wonder. When I was a kid I ate ALMOST everything with honey and I very very rarely got sick and we are pretty sure its b/c I was a honey hoarder.

That could very well be... but i still like to try natural things vs. all the drugs doctors try to push on you... i have been reading alot of good things about these two ingredients from different articles from different source.. but well aware of propaganda manufacturers push on us.. open mind is something we all should keep when it comes to any thing ... :D

I asked my granfather about this. He said it was also a Native American practice. Also, I agree about natural things VS doctors drugs with insane side effects then more drugs to cope with side efects.. then a drug to cope with the side effects side effects..

Thanks Aqua ... grandfathers know best:D

I'm not a fan of cinnamon but love the honey. Always get the jar with a bit of honeycomb in it :D

Ended up catching a cold in madiera and some local people just kept giving me "poncha" which is a sugar based "slightly" alcoholic drink, using honey, lemon and I think a white rum. Not sure if they were just trying to get me tipsy ;) but never got rid of a cold quicker. Check it out and try it Liz next time. Tastes good too.

Now that sounds more like it, much rather get drunk! ;)

lol nice reading up about stuff like this. although i have just had a case where one man injured his foot, shunned conventional treatment, developed gangrene...black toe...put honey on BEFORE gangrene started...then refused to amputate his leg after applying the honey...now he is dead.

I agree honey and other natural foods only do so much and just a preventative type thing like help with colds, allergy, etc. These things dont take the place of antibiotics, medicine or surgery lol.

If I was hit by a car I would rely on honey to heal me would rely on real medicine, doctor lol.

Some holistic people lose perspective of reality.

ok this is meant in good humour

i just thought red devil might be a farmer CAUSE SHE JUST GAVE THE DOUBTER A HAYMAKER
or she might be a waitress CAUSE YOU JUST GOT SERVED

did you actually read the wikipedia article?

these are the diseases that honey supposedly cures.

HEART DISEASES :

ARTHRITIS:

BLADDER INFECTIONS:

CHOLESTEROL:
.< BR>COLDS:

UPSET STOMACH:

GAS:

IMMUNE SYSTEM:

INDIGESTION:

INFLUENZA:
LONGEVITY:
PIMPLES:
SKIN INFECTIONS:
WEIGHT LOSS:
CANCER:
FATIGUE:
HEARING LOSS:

See how many you can find in the wikipedia article.

I'm not denying that there are benefits, but blinding accepting all these claims is silly. Do some research. If it turns out to be true, thats awesome.

I hope I'm wrong, but I really doubt it.

lol i had no idea
