Thanks for your reply...I feed twice a day, two pinches, enough to give him a full looking belly and adjust second feeding depending if he has absorbed the belly or released waste, to avoid over feeding.
I feed omega one super color pellets and hai feng fast color. I will be adding frozen and freeze dried krill soon.
Hi, having one more query regarding feeding... I have okiko platinum medium size pallets. How much pallets have to feed my flowerhorn in a day(twice or trice)? Or plz suggest any other food?
I don't have any knowledge about good food, actually i giving those food which has been suggested by fish seller. I am thinking to next time buy omega one super color as suggested above. Plz suggest if any other. Not a fan of okiko here, low quality ingredients, too much protein, low fiber etc.

I am staying in india...Where are you located? This are multiple good brands, I highly prefer northfin and NLS if available. Hikari and omega one do a sufficiently good job as well.
Hi, can this attached image will help to identify gender?Generally looks can be deceiving when it comes to gender. The only sure fire way to ID a FH's gender is to take it out of the tank, hold it upside down and look at the 2 holes infront of the anal fin. If the hole closest to the anal fin is larger then the other hole it's a female, if the hole closest to the fin is the same size or smaller then the other hole it's a male. I had it once where I thought my biggest FH was male due to the large kok but one day I decided to vent it and found out he was actually a she the entire time. I'll post a couple pics to show what I mean.

Not really. I can't really see much there let alone be able to compare both holes. If it had its tube out more then it might be easier.
