Yeah the body color reminds you of a midas or red devil but this is a cross of Srd x Blood parrot...the color is changing from dark spots to cream cicle

Red devil was used to make blood parrots and midas and blood parrot were used to make flowerhorns, so your fish has DNA of both. So it's not much of surprise.

The fish were bought as firemouth cichlids when they were small. So the owner might have made a guess as well.
