No, not to worry. Krill based pellets wont cause any issues in any species of fish.
Whoever told you that has no idea what they are talking about. I recall reading similar nonsense years ago, nothing supported by science, or any real data, and usually involved a fish that was on a diet of 100% freeze dried krill. The rest is internet hearsay.

Krill only causes lockjaw if it's the ONLY thing fed. It's the lazy fish-keeper's way of feeding. Just break some off & toss in.
My guess is that it may be related to an excess of chitin found in FD krill, which creates a vitamin/mineral deficiency of some sort when FD krill is fed in excess, or fed exclusively, as Pufferpunk alluded to. In a pellet formula, a non issue.

PP is also the one that defended RTR's statement that Mbu's required 1,000 gallon tanks, a tank size based on the fact that her mentor RTR failed miserably when attempting to keep a Mbu in a 180 gallon tank, and later decided that 1,000 gallons should be the minimum. lol That puffer forum is full of contradictions and assumptions based on nothing more than anecdotal evidence. I have seen puffers fed an exclusive diet of krill based pellets (not 100% krill), for years, with no issues, and certainly no case of lockjaw. IMHO for numerous health reasons no species of fish will do well when fed a diet of 100% krill, but feeding some krill, along with other sources of protein/fat/vitamins/minerals - is an absolute non issue. Tell PP I said so.
