Fahaka and pellets

Are there any bigger pellet/disc than 10 mm? She is crushing most but some she can just swallow. Just want to continue w pellets/disc. Less mess.

About 7 month progress…she is doing well. 90 percent northfin carnivore/nls algae wafer. Rest r snails and shrimp.

Moved Alice in the 120 gallon. Sulking a bit but eating again. She is 10 months old now.

Ok. Alice is about 8 inches now. She continues to eat 10 mm northfin carnivore pellets. How much pellets would be appropriate for this size. She can easily eat 6-10 pellets. She gets shrimp, snails and crays to supplement the pellets. So far she is tolerating her smaller tank mates eg tiger barbs and Buenos airways tetras. The platies and swords have decrease in group size. Not sure if she is picking them off or the cray the survived in the driftwood and only comes out at night. She is doing well as she is reproducing in the tank. Thanks.

I would feed until you see the belly get rounded, hard to give an exact amount.

That’s what I usually use as a gauge but pellets doesn’t really increase belly size as the other foods would. Ten plus pellets barely increase her belly.

In that case you could probably go by weight. You can weigh out how much the other foods are, and feed a similar amount. Probably a bit less though considering much of the frozen food weight is water.

Yeah. I’m not sure how accurate it would be by weight as I assume the pellets are more nutritional dense. Like u said ‘fresh’ is a lot of water weight. Thanks though.

found another pellet Alice enjoys. It’s the northfin kelp disc. Bonus 14 mm. Great crunch.
