So. I walked into my room this morning to find 20 gallons of water on the floor. Seems my 100 gallon sprung a leak. Go me. I guess this means I'm effectively out of the big fish hobby for a bit until I can work up the cash to buy a tank 100+ gallons :/ Sucks. Pics soon, if my camera wants to cooperate. Oh well. 10 gallon it is :(

dude that sucks, what fish where in it maybe one of them broke it? ya did you get any water damage...

My tank is one of those old ones, with the super freakin tank thick glass. I doubt the Paratilapia or the catfish did it. Maybe it was that dang pleco :P

And on resealing it, what's the best thing to use?

And yes. Hardwood floor.

do a search on the DIY area.. you will get a few hits. its not to bad as long as you dont have to take apart the panes of glass. if that's the case then it might be alittle harder but still doable. i just resealed a 210, a complete break down cause the guy before me half a**ed covered the big chip of glass that was out of the bottom of the tank.

Ouch! Jeez man, that sucks!
But I Wouldn't go throwing away your tank!
When i reseal tanks, I use ordinary clear silicone sealant. There are aquarium silicone sealants for sale, but they are more expensive, and i've never encountered a problem with regular old hardware store clear silicone sealant. (don't use window caulk {it won't work} or black silicone {it looks terrible})

Before you apply the sealant, go around the tank with a razor blade, and remove as much as the old silicone as possible. ( you may need to wrap the outside of the tank in duck tape to keep it from falling apart once the old silicone's removed.) Then yyou can go along all the seams with your new silicone.

Good luck, man!

Aw man, I'd definitely try resealing it, first... though I've no experience doing so. Good luck on it!

Are your fish alright? :c

wow, that is too bad. i hope you get that money soon.
