Man I'm gonna loose my marbles if I end up loosing my Marbles. Figured I better get some recent pics posted up as I don't get to very often.

First group of pics is the growouts. They've been growing like weeds. Aside from the CB pup born at the end of August (1st pic), the pretty female, and the biggest male in the growout tank, most of the rays are now mature. Not sure the story on the female. I've had her well over a year and she's only 7-8 inches. She was 5 when I got her. Eats like a pig and is very aggressive, just not picking up size very fast. The unmature male I'm really stoked about. Pushing 10 inches and not mature. A nice change for me as many of my males seem to be dwarfs, maturing anywhere from 6-8 inches, growing very slow after maturity, and none have broke a foot yet. Not exactly ideal considering some of the females I have are getting up to 16-18 inches.

Pond pics. These are a few months old, but all I have for now. Hoping there's 2 expecting Marbles in there. Hate ponds when it comes to pregnant rays. "Mantilla" has been showing lots of disk damage over the last 6 weeks so hopefully in the near future she'll be a mom.

After 3+ years of hunting you're bound to come across a few lookers. ;)

A lot of my rays aren't new to the hobby, but rather obtained from other hobbyists from this site. Provide good homes for them and the people that have them tend to find you when the time comes to rehome them. Well over half of my rays were passed down to me by other hobbyists. . I MUCH prefer this then having to buy wild caught. Wild caught Marbles are NOT fun at all when you have established rays, they don't mix well and mortality rate is sickening. In fact I think I only have 5 surviving WC rays. Probobly lost more then have lived.

The Irwinis are supposed to be a pair. Came from the Omalley collection. Amazing how much food they steal right out from under the rays.

All looking good, but that female in the growout is a knockout!

Thank you.

4th pic down in the 2nd batch of pics are the 2 I suspect are prego. Both were very light colored up to 12-13 inches then darkened up. The one on the left is Spotfin's old female. You can see how light she was in his avatar. The pic below that are all the Marble ladies in the pond. Of those 4 2 are proven breeders (the light colored beauty from JimR and Spotfin's old lady). The smaller of the 4 is a CB from Brad (Stingrayguy). She was one of the prettier Marbles I've seen up till 8 inches. May not be a looker now, but definetly has the genes to throw amazing pups. She'll be 2 next month so it shouldn't be long before she's a mom. The Jag and "Mantilla" are also both female. Should just be a matter of time now that water quality issue has been dealt with.
