I WANT A RED TAILED HAWK

If anyone locally is getting into it, I would love to take some pics. Ling, amazing as always. One of these days I'm going to have to make it down there....

Oh, and count me in for the fishing trip.

Li, so envious. I once had a Kestrel as a kid. It was a great bird even though they don't display the courage and determination of a Peregrine or even a Merlin. My bird however, would regularly take sparrows and occassionally a starling or a mockingbird. I have vowed to return to the sport after my military career is finished. 4 years remaining, and counting down.

For those of you wanting to own or have a Hawk or falcon, as mentioned, really do your homework. There is a lot of info you need to know to be able to properly keep such an animal healthy (weight, diet, diseases, etc..). Lastly, do it legally. Keeping raptors without proper authorization can be quite an expensive experience if caught and can only hurt the sport for those serious enough to do it the right way.

Pereguine Falcons are harder to see, I looked and looked and never saw them....:(. They are totally awesome though, my fav. smaller raptor, although Goshawks are AWESOME, so mobile....harriers are kewl also. I wanna get a Harpy Eagle though....:D...yeah boi!! I know someone that helps Game and Parks, and sometime this month we are gonna go to a Great Horned Owl nest and take one of the babies and raise it up....I CAN NOT wait!
