Got this off wikipedia -

In a second season episode of Homicide: Life on the Street, a Jack Dempsey is recovered at the scene of a murder, and is taken home by an unsuspecting Detective John Munch, who intends to give it to his tropical fish-collecting girlfriend as a present. As a surprise, he places the fish in her aquarium, where it proceeds to devour $4,000 worth of her fish before being removed. Munch later refers to the fish as an "assassin" who "uses piranhas as toothpicks."

Two for ya!

The 'Piranha' Tank in the back of the Mafia Boss' truck in Speed Racer.......and that's all i'm saying on that one!

And Connor McLeod has a large tank in his apartment in the original Highlander movie stood in the middle of one of the rooms. Looks very green but in one shot at least you can see a good sized new world Cichlid in there.

Oh BTW, I looked up the episode of Homicide: Life on the Street with the Jack dempsey, and its called "Black and Blue" . I cant find a vid or picture.

Also in the movie Last Dragon I think the bad guy has a tank, you dont really see any fish (water is dark) but they sorta suggest its piranhas or something like it.

In "Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas" there's a scene with Dr. Gonzo ordering some...um.... "stuff" in a bar. He leans against a large tank with a huge pacu in it. I'll do my best to find a pic of it.

I was hoping someone would mention this one.

That tank is in a local admittedly cheesy 'tiki' themed restaurant called 'Bahooka' in Rosemead CA. Everyone in socal should eat there at least once. (the bahooka bowls....)

They have over 110 fish tanks lining all the booths there and that pacu in the movie is still there!

Here's some links with pics and what not:

The movie " Whos Harry Crumb" with John Candy. Theres a scene he drops a pen in a fish tank and puts his hand inside and gets bit. I forget whether it was freshwater or salt water and I forget what kinda fish too.

ALso the movie "Total Recall". The bad guy Cohagen kicks over a tank full of goldfish.

Also in the movie Last Dragon I think the bad guy has a tank, you dont really see any fish (water is dark) but they sorta suggest its piranhas or something like it.

Ugh... this is my first time to read this thread...from the start all 3 of these came to my mind. I get down to the last few posts and you got me ;)
