Got this off wikipedia -

In a second season episode of Homicide: Life on the Street, a Jack Dempsey is recovered at the scene of a murder, and is taken home by an unsuspecting Detective John Munch, who intends to give it to his tropical fish-collecting girlfriend as a present. As a surprise, he places the fish in her aquarium, where it proceeds to devour $4,000 worth of her fish before being removed. Munch later refers to the fish as an "assassin" who "uses piranhas as toothpicks."

never seen that movie so it couldnt have been it.

in the one im thinking about i think in the end they throw the "bad guy" dead in the tank

In the movie "Dead Heat" with Joe Piscopo and Treat Williams, theres a scene where two gunmen show up at a house and start firing at Joe Piscopo and Treat Williams. Theres a tank full of Blue Damsels that gets hit by a stray bullet. There is also 2 other tanks in sight but couldnt see what fish were in them.

There's a fish tank in Funny People at Adam Sandler's ex-wife's house.

50 first dates

Adam Sandler and Drew Barrimor have a date and are underneath a huge aquarium. He works at the aquarium with dolphins, walrus and all that crap.
