Yes, I have never had a problem giving tp to my hamsters, mice, or rats. Its a super soft nest once their done and it gives them something to do. Sometimes when you clean the bedding you can take out the nest and give them another few pieces. also in regard to your predicament, could there be a possibility one of your rats is infertile, i hear its a major problem in rats, sometimes due to interbreeding or possibly their on different sides of the species ladder and cant produce with each other?

buckeyenut222;2129010; said:Its probably not a good idea to breed them anyways. If they're pets mass breeding can shorten their life span tremendously as it does take a lot out of the mothers. If they're reptile or fish food then it would probably be more cost efficient to just buy frozen rats.
