Hi guys, I’ve been following MFK for a while now and recently became a member so please forgive me if this thread is not in the correct place. If been pondering this question for a long time and I’d be interested to see what y’all had to say.

Situation A) What fish would you say would be top-dog in a fight against all other species.
(Fish at it’s maximum size/Takes place in a wide open water/ Exclude bull sharks)

Situation B) What fish would you say would come out on top if they were all at an equal size/weight
(Same setting as Situation A/Exclude Bullsharks)
All responses are appreciated, thanks!

In a tank id say either a wolf fish or a a knife fish like an Aba Aba..I saw a wolf fish beat the hell out of a flowerhorn one time.. in open water though I'd have to say a tiger fish because of size and speed..i know snake heads also are extremely aggressive but i never owned one or have even seen one in person.

Open water I do not see much beating a full grown Alligator Gar. Arapima gigas are also up there but the teeth and armor scales of an alligator gar just give it a huge advantage.

If we are talking every fish at the same size then either a snakehead or Tiger Fish based on speed and aggression.

Still don't see any of those winning against a black swallower of similar size
