honestly i would never not feed a fish just to see it eat aggressively.
theres ways to do it without harming the fish.;)

2 times a week for them is fine IMO unless they are really small.......it is not starving them by any means. He will be fine twice a week as long as you feed him enough to fill him up.

A 29g is not sufficient for a rainbow either. I consider a 30g bare minimum, a 75 would be ideal.

I agree a 29 is the bare minimum(I do not think the 1 gallon difference from 29-30 is going to be a big deal)...but it can be done if the filtration and params are kept in check. They are not real active and get 8". So in reality an 8", smaller bodied, not very active fish in a 29 is feasible. If you had a big bodied 8" fish like a Piranha then it would need a bigger tank

It has nothing to do with the 1g difference, it's the foot print of the tank that makes the difference. Wolves need more foot print, height really isn't that important.

My Red wolf is 7.25" and very active. He uses every inch of my 48x18 footprint tank all the time. I couldn't imagine him comfortable in anything less.

ya i was gonna get 30g but before i had no space for a 36 inches long tank, few weeks ago i saw 30g on the street but i didn't loot it. After turning furnitures around i got 50 inches space xD but my parents dun let me spend MY MONEY on fish tanks.

Just go get a few friends (to help lift stuff) and go tell your parents you are gonna go "hang out" and then come back with a 75g tank and stand : P. Also, get a good filter like a fluval or eheim canister.

Fluval? i have fluval i thought AQ powerfilter is better i was about to buy that one.
I have a question i hope somebody can re-answer it.

One of my wolf fish's eye is ... dunno how to describe it, people said it was a scatch. It has it since i bought it, people said it will recover in two weeks. Now its been one month and 20 days, and I wonder if it will still recover. Below is the picture i took since the day i got it, his eye didn't get any better, still the same; however, i think it can see me with that whitish eye. I want wolf fish with 2 eyes please help!!
