educating people that eating certain animals or animal parts does nothing for them is probably a good way to start...
i'm pretty disgusted in the way we treat animals such as moon bears - can you imagine spending your whole life in a cage with a tube sticking into you body and having bile sucked out every now and then? i can't imagine that at this day and age some synthetic replica of whatever constitutes bile can't be concocted up in a lab somewhere. the fact that we would consider doing something like that is inhumane and beyond me. maybe what needs to also happen is for people who do farming in that method to be locked up in a cage and have a tube stuck in THEM and see what pain is really like. just because something can't talk or communicate to us doesn't mean they lack the capacity to feel anguish.
i don't see why people can't just stick with normal stuff you would find in a supermarket. going to absurd lengths to obtain exotic animal matter for consumption is seriously messed up.
