How many large cichlids are actually from south america? Cichla and oscars is the only I know of that get over a foot. Unless the Umbee is also SA.

Oscars grow ridicuosly quickly imo. Floating pigs.......!!

P bass are probably the fastest growers I swear you dump feeders in, turn off the lights...switch em back on in the morning and they are an inch longer.

Second to that definetly oscars, they seem to double in size every week until about 6 inches.

but then these are the fish I have experience with...
