FAVORITE CICHLID AND WHY , GO!!

I'm most attached right now to my convicts. I have had my male for almost 2 years.

My female is a bit younger, but she is really personable as she recognizes me clearly and swims around like a little cheerleader begging for food.

But I have to say, my red devil that I acquired from Jeff Rapps the 2nd week in December is really growing on me. It's like whever he sees me he does some weird dance, and after he is fed he constantly swims around patrolling the tank.That's how he got the name "Sheriff." I have some other fish in with him, we will see what happens.

Ive only been keeping fish for about a year, started off with 1 tank and now have 5 tanks...my breeding pair of 5 spot jewels are my favorite...they were in a community tank with smaller cichlids I was growing out and once they paired off everything was on the hit list...I have a feeling tho once my Festaes get color and pair up they will be my new favorite fish...dont know how to add the link from my phone but if you go to youtube and search adamcichlid youll find a video of each tank that I just posted a few days ago...

True parrots! Mine (in avatar) is pretty blue when happy, and goes green camo w/red eyes when eating. REALLY gets into eating. Changes color all the time, like a chocolate or rainbow cichlid.
 
I have had many types of cichlids. The common and the rare. I keep going back to oscars, Jd's, and the more common types. I guess they are popular for a reason.
