does the endlicheri endlicheri or the endlicheri congicus have taller spines? ive seen pictures of a "saddled bichir" with very long beautiful spines, im trying to figure out which of these 2 is the one im seeing
endlicheri congicus and zaire green are two different bichirs. the common name of endli congicus is "congo bichir". zaire green is the common name (or trade name) of a yet undescribed species called Polypterus sp. "saddled bichir" is the common name of endlicheri endlicheri, which is probably what you saw. i wouldn't say either one has noticeably taller dorsal finlets than the other.elykyelsna said:does the endlicheri endlicheri or the endlicheri congicus have taller spines? ive seen pictures of a "saddled bichir" with very long beautiful spines, im trying to figure out which of these 2 is the one im seeing
