Ok my LFS totaly sucks... it's just a bunch of teenaged idiots that dont know anything about the animals they sell (only good thing is that they feed their piranhas flakes and pellets instead of feeders 
). So I was in there to look at the adorable baby red bellies they have one day and then out of the corner of my eye i see a discus for sale! ONLY $20!!! I was like OMG when did you get this little beauty?! It was so pretty and blue, they had just gotten him before i showed up. So me and one of the employees are talking and she says "oh i love these salt water fish they are so beautiful" and i was like .... saltwater? and she said "yeah he came in some fresh water but i added some table salt to his water and look how happy he is!" the poor thing was going crazy.... i wanted to shove her face in the piranha tank for murdering the discus

Yeah, the reason why she put salt in it's water is because "yeah fresh water fish are never this color so i was freaking out when i saw that it had come in fresh water"scottswald;4014143; said:

We once had a customer ask if she could mix the plants she was looking at with the ones she already had in her tank... uh...

And I agree with you too, from that point of view. But in that case it would more likely to have been worded from her lights point of view as in "Will these plants live in my tank?" Not "Will these plants get along with the other plants in my tank?"
She was definetly one of "those" customers.

Oh my gosh... we have a winner. That might be THE dumbest lfs story I have ever heard from an employee. You should've rescued the Piranha.
