I have more stories from the zoo. Not really LFS stories, more like human stupidity stories.
Every day, I get people that think Leopards = Tigers, Leopards = Lions, etc. I had one lady who went up to the Bamboo Sharks with her kids and went "ooooh, snakefish." I'm sorry, what?
Yesterday someone asked if the Harlequin Tuskfish was a Clownfish, and several people thought that the Black Ribbon Eel was a Sea Snake. I also had someone who came up to me while I was handling a Blue Tongue Skink and tried to get me to sell it to him. Then there wad the kid who was poking the Leopards with a Peacock feather...

You work at a zoo and you're 14? Is that legal?

Perhaps the zoo should put up some identification cards.

Agreed.... :)
My favorite lfs story:: An oscar will grow to the size of the 10 gallon tank, so he'll be fine in a 10 gallon.

Excuse me? Do I need to post up my card that says my first and last name, the name of the zoo, and "Jr Docent"? Because I will, if I have to. Just shoot me a PM because I really don't need everyone on this forum to know my full name and where I work/volunteer... but PM me, and I will do it. You also might try asking MFK user Gene0514, who works at the zoo with me, and MFK user TTTT, who I talk to daily, most of which is about the zoo.

i think he meant ID cards on the exhibits, for the animals....

Wow I feel like an @$$ I seriously was in the middle of uploading a picture of my zoo card and all ready for a fight

But other than reef biotope exhibits at the zoo that have 10+ species of fish in them, every animal is labeled.

Yeah, I thought the legal working age was 15, haha. I wasn't really that serious to begin with.

And was also talking about the id cards for the animals. It's amazing some people just don't seem to be able to read the card when its right in front of their face.
