i prefer baitcast personally

Spinning for sunnys and trout and surf, baitcasting for bass and deep sea. Mostly do sunny and trout fishing and I got my big rod for the boat.

i prefere baitcasters for surf and larger fish (better drags and cast ALOT furthur) but id use a spinner for just about any freshwater application. they are better with light line (2-8lb) and excell in casting light baits (under 1oz) heaviest spinner i own is a 20# set-up and heaviest convench is an 80lb set-up.

depemd on application, i prefere round baitcasters but a spinner is my go to rig....if that makes sence.

Haha good ole spincasting, I bet thats what we all learned to fish with.

I fish with em' all! Every reel has it's on situation. Usually have atleast 8 rigged reels on boat from light spinning ( favorite spinners are Diawa SS and shimano stradic ) Baitcaster just bought a Diawa Millionaire Luna which blows my Shimano calcuttas away ! Attaching pics of just one of my rod carosels. Have over 30 top quality rods and reels ohh I guess you can tell I like to fish!!! Rods range from Loomis, lamiglass, St. Croix, shimnao, Diawa etc...

Nice rigs. I used to be a Long Islander and we needed different rigs for when the hitters changed. We'd hit a run of stripers, then blues, then porgies, etc. Sometimes, we'd switch to bottom (to take a nap) and try for flounders.

way to drop some big names lol, nice stuff. i hate shimano spinning reels, especially stratics, their made for freshwater and crap out after a couple years. penn, diawa, okuma, quantum are my choices.
