FedEx has me so mad right now

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I've never tried to have live fish shipped, just that idea alone scares me, my lfs is good at ordering what it is I want, and doesn't charge me any extra for a special order. Ill pay that little mark up to support local business, aside from being able to see my fish and see it alive before I make the purchase

Thats why we need to save the post office. I used to buy stuff weekly on ebay and never had a missing package with usps. But I've had a couple problems with fedex and ups. If the post office goes out of business like the conservatives are planning, package prices are going to go way up and service is going to get even suckier because ups and fedex can't handle the extra work. They can barely handle the packages they have now.

Haha, like the conservatives are planning? That's not even a political issue from either side in regards to the facts, USPS is straight up losing tons of money every day (unlike FedEx and UPS). The issue is what either party wants to do about it, but that's not for a fish forum. But it still amazes me people can't grasp simple economics.

I'll just say they ALL suck, UPS least of all at my house.

I have had good luck with UPS. They don't update online as well, but I always get the package and my delivery guy is cool.

FedEx on the other hand.... I can't think of a single package that I didn't have to go pick up at the distribution center because they never dropped it off. I've spent many of hours in the office and on the phone complaining.

How funny, my experiences with FedEx are 100% the opposite. I use them for all my packages, live and dried goods (about 100 or so a week), and have never had a single issue that wasn't my fault. You have to request a signature, it is not a default. I have even had drivers call me, while on the road, to clarify an address that I messed up so that they could fix it and get my fish to customers on time. USPS, on the other hand, won't guarantee their time line of services for express shipments of fish, rendering their service useless unless you get lucky and it is on time. The tracking on USPS is also useless. UPS, I have not had good luck with and have had many packages damaged or lost.

The package you received should have been insured, the shipper can file a claim if you truly didn't get it, which should cover the cost of the contents.

Ive allways used USPS then it hits the border and canadian postal service gets it to me, may not be quick so i wouldnt do with live fish but ive never had problems.

TBH I would look more closely toward your neighbors than the carriers themselves. I live in a decent place but I trust my companies' shipping dock than my front door a whole lot more.
