I just use an old 60 gallon freezer that I keep dozens of wild caught shiners in for my peacock bass, (I keep a old HOB filter on it and a fluval 406 canister I wasn't using) every week or so I bring up a couple dozen upstairs and I keep them in a 10 gallon to quarentine them again. I just replenish the ten gallon every week
I gut load them with Omega one marine micro pellets that have garlic and they go CRAZY for them. They're also bite size and slowly sink so they have no trouble getting it.
