These 2 girls were bought the same day and were the same size 13 months ago,the larger was fed cooked peeled and raw shrimp and floating hikkari sticks, the smaller was on goldfish.
She is now in my tank and eating my diet, and in 20 days has bulked up substantially, feeder fish are dirty and have very little nutritional value,I always read this and now I believe it

I use rosys and occasional goldfish. I treat them for a week prior to feeding. If ur losing half ur feeders then try feeding ur feeders hahaha. Most ppl buy feeder add salt n say they treat their feeders.

I use prazi pro, salt , 84 degree+ and metro. And feed the feeder tank high quality flakes or small new life spectrum food.

I bought 600 rosy reds and literally pulled out to date 4 dead.

U MUST FEED UR FEEDERS LOL.

As soon as u get feeders even before meds u have to feed very heavy. For first week 3 times a day. (There are a few hundred in there so make sure u out enough for them ALL to eat)

This subject always turns out to be a pissing contest, so here is me relieving myself :). Over the years the bass I've had be reluctant to pellets and vitamin enhanced Talapia, prawns (on live) have grown WAY!!! And that's not an IMO, that's an observation made from several grow outs. Massivore is like steroids for fish, in size and color, gold fish are like ice cream for fish, very fatty and low nutrition.

I'm not here to argue,I can see a major difference on 2 fish from the same gene pool,in both size and color
I used goldfish once upon a time too.as did the previous owner of the smaller bass, who was actually the biggest in his tank of 4,he has since switched to shrimp
