A Dovii could live comfortably for a little over a year in a 90 as a growout, however, a full adult can get up to 24" so I would say a 30" width should be the minimum (or 24" the very least).

yes 24" width at the very least, but most dovii don't get over 20" in captiveity, though occasinally, if the proper husbandry is given they, could reach bigger

I'm trying to give him the answer he wants. He knows it won't work but he still won't listen. Obviously its too small, but I would put money on him having a male dovii within the next 2 weeks.

Wouldn't put a male in a 90g unless you're talking small until it gets like 10-12" and then move it. Also don't count on making too much moolaa off of dovii fry even if they breed cause dovii fry aren't exactly in high demand.

I've given him the correct info on several occasions. Has he done much with the information? No. Last week or two weeks ago.. I don't remember, he had to be told that a dovii pair could not live in a 75 for life, something a "well known cichlid expert" has done peacefully.
