  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i already have, i look at your posts regularly, when i look at them it makes me cry:D
i wish we could get those fish in nz.
just a simple red tail cat or tsn. even fresh water rays.
i would probably, no no, i would give my left nut (the smaller one i call him earnie) to get a freshwater ray in nz legally:D

my observation on feeding regimes. Imo, let the aro eat as much as it wants although i found that:

I feed everyday all my fishes (except cats). I make sure that all fishes get reasonable amount of food (proportionate to tummy size) - from time to time i feed until refusal (usually prior to water changes).... paimas can be quite greedy (eat until puking).

My 2 cents

Hi ctoychik, what size are your monsters? I'm relatively new to monsterfish keeping and am still experimenting on the amount and frequency of my feeding. Basing on the size of my fish as detailed in my sig, may I ask suggestions from the board on feeding frequency?

Thanks.

As your fish are fairly young (judging by the size of them) i would feed everyday. the trick is to get everyone to eat in "moderation". As other fishes are more aggressive feeders than others - it is only natural that some would end up eating more than others. For example, i am sure the pacu out competes the flowerhorn or RTC out eats the CFK ... heheheh probably would end up eating CFK in the end (trouble is that RTC will eat until it pukes ... so ewwwwwwwww for water). I had that problems with juvi paimas - when they are young they are fast swimmers and aggressive eaters ... eat till puke (they do get more mellow as they grow). Sorry can't be of more assistance as i have not kept many of your fishes before so can't really advise.
