Mine catch them. More so in the dark or when the feeders first get in the tank. Make sure you inspect the feeders.

Cut tilapia into strips and poke fishing line through one end so that the fillet is loosly attached. Wave it/jig it around the tank like a wounded fish, thats how i broke my armatus onto tilapia. I eventually stuffed the fillets with pellets as army never learned to take pellets on their.own.

Chucked the last of my feeders in yesterday. Give and take the 3 gars took 30+ of them, bichir only got 1 by its own attempt lolll. Put in some sinking pellets but didn't want them so had to scoop them up and left some for the plecos. Bout time to starve them I guess. Pampered fellas.

If the poly cant get to the food you can try feeding it with tongs. Works pretty good for me.

Do you guys that feed fish fillets/tilapia are you using thawed frozen fish or fresh fish from the market ?

No Walmart this side of the world. I'll probably get a bag of smaller frozen fish and feed with tongs.

I buy the frozen bag of tilapia from Walmart @ jaws7777

+1, 4lbs for like 8 bucks of pretty good quality tilapia. Cant beat it.

Haha i honestly dont get to pick out what they eat. Wife grabs what evers on sale

Went to the wet market opposite office and got this bunch of guys for RM5.00, give and take US$1.20. From what they told me these fishes are harvested daily from paddy field in the morning and sold around 3-4pm in town. Hope they'll take. Dirt cheap compared to live. Bought a bag for trial.
