Feeding Clown Loaches.

Bad news.
A few of my Loaches have ich on their tail fins, 2 or 3 tiny white spots.
Whats the best way to treat this keping in mind I have a few Malawi Cichlids in with the loaches???

I have increased the temp in my tank to 83 and have added an additional air stone. Will this rid my loaches of ich??

How much salt do I need to put in? Do I put it in gradually or in one go? will my malawis handle the salt?

i like api aquarium salt, tablespoon per 10gallon? might be 5 it says on the box. i also keep my temp at 82 to avoid ich.

I used this after a Clown Loach -that i thus named Typhoid Mary-
brought the ich into my tank. (Kosher salt has anti caking preservatives,
and tank salt has trace minerals.)

Added it over the course of about four days.
And slowly moved the temp up to 90°F.
Cleared it up nicely.
-and now i always quarantine.

make sure you cover your tank, and shut off the lights. Light makes the ich happy. No light makes it unhappy.
