I learned about overstocking for peace in the tank through you and Gary. But don't that affect their growth? Do their heads still grow big together or only the dominant male?

Should I do that with my FHs?

Good question and observation. When I took out my Male Sysn and placed it as a solitary fish, the head was way bigger. Now, since it's not the dominant fish, the head went down. I would agree that sub-dominant fishes would grow slower because they get less food and get harassed but I have different vieja's in there so their growth rates still differ. A good example is this....my bifa is the most dominant fish but my Sysn is 1" longer than the Bifa.

One more thing, don't expect long flowing fins when you have a community tank. I have 6 silver dollars in my 360 and I like them but I always see them biting the extensions of my cichlids . Awesome dithers though.

i saw these tanks in person today - incredible x 10000 is all i can say

i have also NEVER seen midas as large as gani's... they were around 15" and probably weighed in at 10 lbs each from the looks of them

i was very lucky to walk away with a pair of loisellei today. many thanks for the gorgeous fish!
