feeling a little slighted after fish auction

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
What the auctioneer did was messed up. He screwed you. He screwed the club (the club gets a % of the total) and he made himself look like a tool.

In general, you're not going to get great money for fish at fish club auctions, but the auctioneer's job (and I'm sure he was a volunteer) is to raise money for the club...and its members. If hybrids weren't allowed , it should have been stated in the auction rules.

I guess the lesson is to mis-label your hybrids as something else next time.

Or to not deal with fish clubs.

Either of which is unfortunate.

My wife got a meessage from one of the club members who helped organize the event and they had no idea this guy or his club was like that. He said the club wants to promote the aquarium business not chase people from it which was nice to hear I think this club is one of the bigger ones here in Alberta so they will have some pull in our favour. I hope people going to the show this weekend in Regina Sk. know before they get there how that club feels about certain kinds of fish.

Those auctions are better for buyers than sellers IMO. I will not attend another of their auctions. I went a few years ago to meet a guy and get some plants and that was all I came home with. Huge dissapointment.

well id be mad at him for sure but i wouldnt kill his fish if i were to break into his house just so i could get a childish charge ......(id steal them...hahahaha) no pprobably not but im good at ranting so he woulod have goten the verbal asswipping of his life.........and i probably wouldnt be able to sell fish there anymore.....i would find a way to kill this person with kindness if possible they never see it coming and it eats them up even worse than sticks and stones.....

Wow, some people on here are a little sensitive and take comments a little too seriously huh?:chillpill:
