Fees for using "The Marketplace"???

I can understand why they are changing the rules... although they are not as "BIG" as MFK. but they are pretty big for what they do.. its does cost $ to keep a site up. guess they are depended on the vendor fee to keep it alive.

as for MFK and its network sites. I dont see we will have that kind of vendor/member issues. As we DONT charge vendor anything.. nor the members...

all we ask is NOT to post anything that is illigal in your state.. :D

ohh yeah... MFK does have and is the one of the MOST active and Biggest Rare, Extotic and Predatory Fish Marketplace on the web. :D and we are currently working a NEW Marketplace System to support the traffic :headbang2

I stand corrected, I was always under the assumption that sponsors/vendors paid.;)
 
Why not? It's a legitimate concern when a few members are obviously only on the boards to make a profit and don't contribute otherwise. These will be the users who have 10 ads on the first page of the buy sell but less than 20 posts. It really isn't fair to those vendors who have actual vendor status. I'm not sure what board you're talking about, but if vendors need to pay for their status, it makes sense not to allow others to engage in mass sales to profit. This takes away the entire incentive for vendors to pay for that ability. Here at mfk you don't have to pay for vendor status, which removes part of the concern. It still irritates me when people are here solely to flip fish for a profit and don't contribute otherwise.
 
Care to give a range on how much it costs to run this site and its sister sites? That would put things in perspective and how much we theoretically owe you.
 
To keep it fair, people who seem to be commercial are subject to vendor rules. If it becomes obvious that someone is using MFK for little or nothing more than sales, they'll be asked to apply for vendor approval.
