I know the feeling. My bird has been cracking me up for years, especially the laugh mimick thing. Mine has an evil laugh like Kruella Deville
Your sun conure is beautiful..mine says only a real soft whisper Hi every morning , they are so sweet.. my conure is named Baby..

I dont think I'm getting a parrot... I'm probably getting two female sugar gliders instead...

Here are a couple crappy phone pics of my male lady amherst. Mind you he is still not fully colored up since he is only a year old...

Pheasents are cool. My friend has an hutch type thing with an big fenced off outdoor part and he has a few ornamental pheasents. I dont know what they are but they are pretty cool.

I might get some type for bird someday, but right now I dont think I'm ready for a Parrot. I thought I was but, maybe another day. Plus I've wanted sugar gliders for about 3 years now.

UPDATE!:

I am infact getting a bird! I went t my LFS today, and the owner brought one of his birds he raised from an egg. His name is Little Man, he's 1.5yrs old, and is a Yellow Collared Mini-Macaw. I pick him up on monday. I would have bought him today but the bank was closed and wont be open until Monday. He is the coolest bird ever!

When I was holding him he climbed onto my sholder and was eating peanuts from my hand, and then began to preen me like I was another bird, he kept rubbing his beak on my head aswell. I'm going to visit him tommorow, as my bank will still be closed on sunday, and then I pick him up Monday.

I cant wait! :)

After all the times my wife told me about how we'd never have a pet bird, she went and bought a pair of zebra finches the other day. The male is normal and the female is kind of ivory....white with a little bit of yellowish-tan on her tail. Beautiful little birds, and their chirps are kind of fun too :)

Anyway, I'm now a proud, albeit surprised, keeper of a pair of birds.

Had been thinking about Ara militaris, although I don't know how well that would go when we have a child and the bird gets jealous. I'd be seriously afraid of psychologically damaging any Ara.

Military Macaws are cool. I like mini-macaws alot. All the personality of a big macaw in a small package. I cant wait to pick Little Man up on monday! I'm going to go visit him tommorow.
