Female Covict Missing her whole Tail Help..

anyone have ideas how to make her stop floating head downward

hmm..maybe give her something to rest on...like a big clump of java moss or a sponge..pollyfill maybe?

im not sure..maybe even a net in the box you have her in to prop her up.

These fist few nights will be the most important .

i tried somthing for her to lay on but she just keeps floating tail up and its hard for her to be centered correctly

if she cant keep her self upright the damage might be to much.

The exposed flesh that was swollen has gone down but now i see blood in the wound

hmm ..could you put enough stuff in her box to keep her close enough to the surface that her back end cannot float up?.

if the swelling is going down that..im guessing is, good how is her breathing and such? blood would be expected she had her tail torn off..

She sometimes breath hard then breaths normal but i think i could put a sponge in there to keep her tail down

well i just tried right now. It did not work. She just went to her side, and upside down

..that sucks..hmm maybe just let her float like that?..i wouldn't think she wants to move any of her lower half at the moment..so maybe just let her float face down and hope for the best

might try adding a small air stone on low to her box to keep some good o2 flowing.

when i released her she tried swimming to the bottom then just floated back up. but now i have her secured. I have and o2 running in her container.
