They're right - the caudal spot doesn't extend all the way through on the tail, I mistook the bar in it's coloration for an extended spot.

To me, it is still too colorful in being a male Red Terror.

it's a female. the "black" color isn't realli black at all, it's actually the teal color being turned 10 times darker. the teal color on her dorsal fin shown in the picture would turn so dark to the point which it appears to be black when she's stable and showing her best color. plus, male's anal fin and the end of dorsal fin are heavily spangled =)
