any updates on the fry and their parents?

Fry: most were "sold" to a buddy mine on here and a local member, VRWC, I still have several in a couple of my tanks livin it up.

Male: around 5-6" beautiful fish, best looking male festae I have seen in person

Female: Killed by the male while I was away over the winter break, sadly enough she was my favorite fish I have owned.

I sold all the fry to VRWC, you may want to contact him and see if he has any.

I have noticed it is nice to have something to direct the males attention away from the female, like a few small convicts or something... its working great for me..

Here are some pics of my festae pair and their free swimming fry. The pair is around 4.5-5". There are some pics of my male and my female still displaying their breeding colors. There is a spoiler alert if you have been looking at my other thread today. If you look closely you can see the fry, also the white blur spots are fry as well.

Smallest successfully bred festae pair on MFK at 4".

The pair looks bigger than 4", and you're about 1.5 decades late on the smallest successfully bred pair. I had a trio breed several times for me back in the early 90's. And i still have a VHS copy of them and the fry.
