I have raised Festae and Mayans and I am certain of the difference. I'm sure that several other members will also chime in on reasons why too. I don't really want to derail this thread about it. Secondly, I have read other threads from the OP and know about the stock that he keeps. He knows what he has.
 
I asked how your sure, not the creditability of where the fish is from or from who and no need to get so defensive and your not the only one in the world that's raised both:)

I am not being defensive, trust me. There are many people that have raised both fish. I just didn't want to turn his thread into a Festae vs Mayan argument. There are already too many threads about that. You read too much into what I was saying. I was trying to evade a derailment, but apparently I didn't succeed. Peace, no hard feelings!

Nice Festae, Bubba. I'm going to wait for the final verdict on the sex of it. Festae can be a little tricky to sex sometimes. Keep us posted.
