Festae- Quality VS Trash!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
There are plenty of pond-raised New World fish that are great fish...good colors...no deformities, etc. But knowingly selling them as something that they're not (i.e. wild caught) is fraud.

And, unfortunately, more common than most folks want to believe.

Matt

Yes, thank you. Its very frustrating for me!!! and you are very correct, "Ask questions" And for those that buy these coming in, please ask questions and grow them out. i would like to think that with these large numbers coming in that there should be some very nice specimans. if and when difformities are seen please do the right thing and either cull them or keep them if you like but please dont spread any of the fry around:)

and that's what I have a problem with is the fraud!! Cause at the end of the day it really doesnt matter what generation or where it comes from, as long as I know the truth.

I was never bashing their fish
But do you really think that someone with the presence in this hobby like Jeff is just going to jump on some festae just because he can sell them?
I agree with you that the best verified sources probably are fwp and r.r
And as far as the snide remarks you made toward me I feel it's you that are probably the young fella that needs to slow down. Do you know me? My age? I doubt it.

To begin with, you took some of my comments out of context and made them personal. None of my remarks were specifically alluding to RR, FWP, nor calling JR's reputation/intentions into question. BTW I have F0 and F1 pairs that originated with TUIC. Additionally I have purchased some excellent Festae from this site and others from people not named RR or FWP. So I wasn't being defensive because my comments weren't even about them in particular.

The phrase "PYB young fella" was not a swipe at your perceived age since I don't know it. It refers to harnessing youth-like excitement/exuberance. I was speaking in jest.
