festae questions

Mayans are very cool fish too, but my Festae is pretty far from timid. She was when she was smaller but she's always been the smallest in the group and she has pretty outgoing personality. Pics of her the day she arrived and one of her just a few days back......

All in all, one of my more personal fish. Very slow growers though....

You should of known it was a Mayan when you saw it sold for 6.99...I live in the Bay Area and have been looking for Festae's for the past year or so with no luck, last month I purchased 6 2 to 2.5 inch Festae's from Jeff Rapps...Last week 2 of my LFS had just 1 Festae for sale and both of them wanted 40 for maybe 3 or 3.5 inch Festae...Im growing them out right now in a 40 gallon barebottom tank with plenty of live plants and wood and rocks...Hopefully i get a pair but all in all cant go wrong purchasing from jeff Rapps
