Thanks guys! Noticed a bit of drama in the tank while cooking dinner tonight......lotsa chasing and splashing. Male was getting pissed at the jag something fierce and I noticed the female eating some of the eggs, so I checked to see how many were left. Maybe 20 or so white ones , which she was disposing of nicely. Problem is I couldn't find any wigglers......
....till I looked back behind another piece of wood, surrounded by rocks, directly to the left of a foot tall mound of sand that they dug. Spot is way more secure than the one they chose for the first spawn and looks to be around 300-400 wigglers. So secure, I cant even get a pic before papa is front and center blocking my shot lol. I also pulled most of the plecos out so survival rate should improve.
So tomorrow, Im headed to Apopka to buy the first of 2 120's I'll use for grow outs. I'll have a 60 gallon that will house the smallest fry and the 2 4' 120's will house bigger fish. I was originally going to use a single 180 or 240, but I think the 4 footers will give me some added flexibility. Time to build the sump and auto water changer.....
....and buy some shipping supplies!!
